Dr. Wiebe examines how health and illness occur in the context of daily family life. In understanding these processes, Dr Weibe has the potential to help promote better health, better illness management, and better family relationships. Additional areas of research include: 1) Parent-child relationships and diabetes management 2) Ethnic disparities in diabetes management 3) Managing diabetes during adolescence 4) Executive functions and illness management and 5) Depression and diabetes.
