We are interested in understanding the molecular mechanisms of neurodevelopment and its related diseases, focusing on the primary cilium, an antenna-like structure that protrudes from most cells of our body. By studying the cell signaling stemming from the primary cilium, we aim to gain insight into the molecular pathways that dictate brain development, and how signaling errors lead to developmental disorders, birth defects, and pediatric brain tumors.
